Our Work

We create impact investment ecosystems that leverage the competencies of local partners and unlock capital to scale high-impact interventions.

Case Studies

  • Azure Source Capital

Azure Source Capital (ASC) provides water service providers in Latin America with access to capital and technical assistance in order to expand and enhance their water and sanitation services to under-served communities.

  • Vita Green Impact Fund

The Green Impact Fund funds Vita, an Irish NGO, to provide fuel-efficient cookstoves and clean water in Ethiopia and Eritrea, thereby reducing deforestation and GHG emissions, leading to the generation of Gold Standard-accredited carbon credits. These credits are purchased by entities seeking voluntary emission reductions, with profits largely reinvested in communities and some offering fixed returns to investors.

  • Franchise Impact Solutions Facility

Franchise Impact Solutions Facility (FISF) provides expansion financing to social franchisors. FISF is currently partnered with Jibu Co., a franchise-model social business that provides African entrepreneurs with the opportunity to open franchises that bring their communities high-quality drinking water.

  • Transform Health Fund

Transform Health Fund provides debt and mezzanine financing to scale high-impact health enterprises serving vulnerable communities while offering risk-adjusted returns. As a result, the Fund is expected to help bolster healthcare systems in Africa, which face a massive financing gap – a challenge made more difficult by COVID-19 – by working to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

  • Nithio

Nithio has developed an innovative approach that combines geospatial data, consumer repayment data, AI, financial modeling, and deep industry expertise to standardize credit risk. With Nithio, investors can now quantify and assess risk to inform their financing, and companies of all sizes can access lending at scale to unlock energy access for millions of households across the African continent.

  • Medical Credit Fund

The Medical Credit Fund (MCF) is the first and only debt facility for health SMEs in Africa. Since its inception, the Medical Credit Fund has made more than $65 million in loans to more than 1,600 SMEs, with a repayment rate of 97%.

  • IMFact

IMFact, a program previously known as the Strengthening Health through Invoice Financing (“SHIFT”), is a creative new tool that will result in the delivery of additional medicines and products to the shelves of local pharmacies and clinics in Kenya.

We are dedicated to reshaping markets and systems to revolutionize sustainable development.
