Irene Gathiaka

Irene Gathiaka is the Regional Director for Africa at Total Impact Capital. Her work mainly focuses on origination, corporate, and investment finance.
Irene worked as a Corporate Finance Executive for Stanlib Kenya, an Asset Management Company of the Standard Bank Group headquartered in South Africa. In her role, Irene was responsible for reviewing new non-traditional investment opportunities presented to Stanlib and for originating, advising, and structuring such new non-traditional opportunities. Prior to that, Irene held senior positions at ABSA Bank, Nedbank, and McKinsey in South Africa.
Among her other qualifications, Irene has a Bcom in accounting and is also a fellow at the Denmark Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She also recently acquired a CISI certification for financial professionals. Irene is also the founder and CEO of the Nairobi Business Forum, where she presents a regular monthly program that seeks to analyze occurrences and developments in the Kenyan business Scene.
